Yes, Green! That's his name!
   In the spring, when you see a field turning to a beautiful shimmering green carpet or the first buds on a tree, that’s green in all his greatness.
   It seems Green was but a memory, hidden in an obscure corner of time before his great adventure. Then, an exhilarating experience changes him.
   Here’s what Green said about the event.
   “Being in a dormant state, I began thinking about life. While thinking of a life where I could realize my desires, an overwhelming thought surged through me. I didn't know where it came from. All I knew was I had to say or do something. This compelling longing to say or do was so strong that I felt I'd die if I didn’t say or do something.”
   He said, “I don't know why, but I had this over-powering longing to escape the controlling cold Darkness I was in and find Light.”
   He said, “The first thing I knew was this deep, damp, cold Darkness pressing in on me from all sides. And as this cold, soggy feeling soaked into me, it made me shudder. Another compelling urge swept over me as I shivered from the cold dampness. This urge compelled me to break out of the cold Darkness I was captive to and find Light.”
   He said, “I tore through the soggy cold, and a beckoning warmth surrounded me as I did. With this warmth, excitement exploded, and I knew I was alive! And being alive, the beckoning warmth drove me to search for Light. As I struggled on, I saw a glow above me.”
   Excited, he said, “You know! When I saw that glow, I knew Light is!”
   “Now, nothing could stop me. This excitement drove me to fight harder to get to Light.” Pausing, he thought, then said, “You know! All I'd known is the cold Darkness that held me captive!” Then, with relief, he stated, “I never want to go back!”
   “With this new inner strength, I scrambled towards Light. And as I broke from the confines that held me, Light greeted me with warmth, filling me with wonder and a peaceful freedom I’d never known. Now I knew I could be what I always wanted to be.”
   At first, Green's a yellowy-green colour with loving tenderness and a compelling gentleness as he does for others no matter what.
   He often said, “What a peace that fills me as I live this real, true, and loyal life of tenderness in honour of Light.” Now, Greens' newness, fresh understanding and softness draw others to him.
   You see! Over time, Green changed and became darker in complexion. As he transformed, so did his life. In this new life, he produced an abundance of good for others. After giving everything, Green laid down to rest, knowing he'd lived for Light and others.
   Green lived a rich, tender life that emerged from the eternal. He fed and nourished others with a refreshing well-being, a satisfying peace, and a tenderness that exceeds anything anyone can imagine.
   Green is first thoughts, first glances, first compelling desires, first words, first actions and first inspirations that bring a helping response to compelling needs.
   In the spring, look, see the shimmering fields, the immerging shoots of grass, the new blossoms, and remember Green, a true friend who’s the inspiration for doing the best for others!
